Clinical Herbalists are in a unique position to offer herbal medicine rooted in both traditional forms of medicine and the medicine people are familiar with - one could say a Clinical Herbalist is a bridge between the medicine of yesterday and the medicine of the future. At Seed, we are committed to creating a world with more herbalists who have solid footing in both the traditions of the past and the biomedical model practiced today.

Our Clinical Herbal Apprenticeship is a unique learning experience. The herbalists at Seed are dedicated to holistic medicine and therefore believe that herbal medicine is best learned in a holistic model. We do this by offering a hands-on approach to learning herbal medicine.

YEAR 1

Provides a foundation for understanding the profound relationship between herbal medicine and the human mind/body. You will learn the language of herbal medicine; explore the many ways plants support health in the body; learn about your body from both biomedical models of anatomy & physiology and traditional understandings; and you will experiment with different types of medicine making. This is the year to see if clinical herbal medicine is a path for you.
